Dev Tools

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 November 2026

Overview

Dev Tools offers free tools to format, validate, convert, encode and generate code and data. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, why we collect it and how long we keep it.

You do not need an account to use any of our tools, and we never ask for your name or email address.

What you enter into the tools

Every tool runs entirely in your browser. The text, code, tokens and files you enter are processed on your own device and are never sent to our server, so we cannot see, store or share them.

Information we collect

Like most websites, our server records basic technical information with each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. We use it to keep the site running and to protect it from abuse.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that are needed for the site to work: a session cookie, a security cookie that protects forms, and a cookie that remembers your chosen language.

Third-party services

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and is covered by its own privacy policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Because what you enter into the tools never reaches us, there is usually nothing for us to remove, but you can contact us with any request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
